Precisely In Love With You: Chapter 4.1

The bright sunshine lit the whole room. The person on the bed frowned at the dazzling light. Where am I? Then she remembered, yesterday she was robbed and then someone offered her a place to stay.

Knock, knock, knock.

She opened the door and revealed Zheng Weiqian standing by the door holding a bag of daily necessities.

“Here, take it. Wash up and then come out for breakfast.”

“Thank you.” She took the bag and thanked. This man is so mindful.

“The restroom is to your left. After you’re done, come down for breakfast.”

“En, alright.” She gave him a bright smile.

Fang Yan took the towel and toothbrush he bought and walked to the direction he pointed to. She didn’t notice that the man behind her was left startled by her smile.

Zheng Weiqian chuckled. He also doesn’t know why he would give her a place to stay or why he would get up early to help her buy a towel and a toothbrush or why he thinks that her smile is very warm. He shook his head and went to the dining room.

After she finished washing up, Fang Yan head down towards the dining room and saw Zheng Weiqian sitting alone enjoying his breakfast––––porridge and side dishes. This scene wasn’t as she had imagined. She thought that he would be reading a newspaper with a cup of milk and sandwiches on the table. Instead, he was sitting leisurely drinking his porridge and eating some side dishes.

“Uh, that, um…” She doesn’t dare to face him alone.

“She went out for morning exercise.” He picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth as he lightly said.

“Oh.” There was another bowl of porridge on the table so she sat down and started eating.

She had never eaten porridge before for breakfast. Before her health wasn’t so good so her nanny would take care of her. When she went abroad, her breakfast usually composed of a sandwich or a toast. Later on, her nanny left. When she came back to China, she was busy with school and work. When she remembered, she would grab a piece of bread for breakfast. Eating this seemingly simple but flavorful porridge, she couldn’t help but smile as she enjoyed this delicious breakfast. Last night, it was too late for her to look around the house. Now that she has the time to explore, she saw that this is a three-story house. The first floor is the kitchen dining room and living room. The servants’ quarter is on the first floor making it convenient for them. The second floor is the master bedroom and the children’s room. The third floor is the study and storage room. When she went out the front door, she saw that it looked very spacious. Because this is the high-level district, the houses are relatively far apart. The environment of the community is very good, greenery covered 70% of the area so the air is rather fresh. Compared to the noisy big cities, this place is very quiet making people want to stop and watch. It is no wonder that the so-called workaholic president of Yinglun Group is even willing to put down the company and stay here for a week.

As she walked towards the center of the district, she saw a small flower bed in the middle and some stone chairs alternating between street lights. You can imagine that the night scenery would be very nice here. On one side of the flower bed, a group of elders is practicing Tai Chi while some kids are playing around on the other side.

When the music ended, the elders gradually stopped. Fang Yan smiled at Old Madame Zheng and walked over.

“Yanyan ah, did you sleep well last night?” Old Madame Zheng smiled and asked.

“Yes, very well. It was the best rest that I’ve ever had in years, hehe.” Fang Yan sincerely said.

“That’s good, that’s good.” Old Madame Zheng took her hand and chuckled.

Fang Yan supported Old Madame Zheng as they talked and laughed while walking back, making them feel like a pair of grandparent and grandchild.

Noon, dining room.

On the dining room table were a few common side dishes, the taste wasn’t that great. However, to Fang Yan, it was the best food that she has had since she had come back to China these past few years because it has a distinct taste–––the taste of home.

“After you finish eating, let’s go out.” Zheng Weiqian glanced at Fang Yan and lightly said.

“Uh….go out? Go where?” Why did he suddenly say that?

“Do you want to stay home for the entire week?”

There’s no need for us to go out. I don’t want to go with you, it’s too much pressure. Fang Yan muttered in her heart.

“Yes ah, let Weiqian take you out. He grew up here as a child so he is familiar with the area, hehe.” It’s rare for this kid to be active and I also like this girl so they should go out for a walk, hehe.

“Hehe, hehe, actually, I’m fine on my own.” Fang Yan’s words were not convincing.

“If you were fine on your own, then you wouldn’t have gotten lost in the first place. Also, I don’t want to see you wearing the same outfit for an entire week, it will ruin my appetite.”

How could this man be so unlovable? Clearly, he was being concerned, but when it came out of his mouth, how can it sound so hateful.

“Hehe, Yanyan ah, Weiqian just wants to buy you a few sets of clothes to change into, don’t think too much ah!” Old Madame Zheng laughed and turned to her grandson and smiled, “You brat, you can’t even speak properly.” She pretended to hit him which he lightly dodges.

“Puchi.” Fang Yan could help but laugh at this grandmother and grandson duo.

Zheng Weiqian also laughed, his smile reaching his eyes.

Old Madame Zheng looked at them and smiled deeply.

“Although you didn’t speak properly, I understand what you mean. So, I will first thank you here.” Fang Yan tried to not laugh out loud.

“Forget it, no need to thank. Who said that I can’t speak.” Zheng Weiqian joked.

“It seems like my grandson is willing to speak more and more ah!”

Everyone laughed at Old Madame Zheng’s words.
