Fang Yan didn’t look back. She hurried out of the room and stood on the road. Fang Yan took deep breaths, trying to calm her emotion. When she was inside that room, Fang Yan felt like all the air was sucked out of her, making her scared and anxious.
In fact, this situation isn’t normal. In the beginning, didn’t Lin Xuanxuan also find her like this? This isn’t anything new. Could it be that that family can only do this type of thing? Isn’t this scenario mostly seen in novels and on TV? There is no need to make a fuss. Fang Yan tried to calm herself.
Her phone rang at this time. It is from Old Wang but the person who answered was Zheng Weiqian, “Where are you, why aren’t you back yet? Did something happen?” Zheng Weiqian’s voice was filled with worry and urgency.
“My stomach felt uncomfortable. I’m coming right now.” Fang Yan checked the time on her watch and saw that it has already passed half an hour. No wonder he decided to call her.
Fang Yan hung up the call and walked to the hospital with a sweet smile on her face.
Fang Yan stood in front of the elevator and watched as the numbers changed. Suddenly, she was hit with a wave of vertigo and fell backward as she lost her balance.
Just when Fang Yan thought that she was going to fall, a pair of strong hands caught her from behind. Because of vertigo, she was not able to turn back to see who it was.
Once Fang Yan’s head slowly cleared, she moved away from his embrace. When he saw that she is better, the man behind here worriedly asked, “Are you okay?”
Fang Yan wanted to turn around to thank him but when she saw who it was, she swallowed her words. Unexpectedly, it is Lin Yifan. What the hell is going on today? Why does she keep on bumping into people from that family?
“Are you okay?” Lin Yifan asked once again when she didn’t respond.
“I’m fine, thank you.” Fang Yan spit out those words and turned around. Coincidentally, the elevator door opened at this time. She stepped inside, pressed the floor button and watched as the door closed.
Lin Yifan stared at her with a complicated look in his eyes.
Because there aren’t many patients today, it didn’t take long for Zheng Weiqian to get do his checkup. When Fang Yan came up, Zheng Weiqian had already finished. Old Wang accompanied him to sit on the stool outside the doctor’s room as they waited for her.
“Is he done?” Fang Yan asked Old Wang.
“En, there were fewer examinations today.” Old Wang simply replied.
“How come you took so long? Are you sick?” When he heard Fang Yan’s voice, Zheng Weiqian immediately reached out to her direction.
Fang Yan grabbed his hand and chuckled, “I’m fine. I must’ve eaten something bad. I felt after using the restroom.” She casually said, she doesn’t want Zheng Weiqian to know too much about this. After all, it isn’t something good to mention.
“Well, since we’re in the hospital, why don’t you get a checkup as well.” Zheng Weiqian nervously asked.
“I’m fine, really. What did the doctor say, is there any problem?” Fang Yan changed the topic.
“En, everything’s normal. In fact, we don’t have to come every week for this type of checkup.” After hearing the same word over and over again, he could repeat the words from the back of her head.
“Then what about your eyes. It has been so long but it hasn’t recovered. What did the doctor say?” His eyes have always been a matter of concern to Fang Yan. The doctors said that it is only temporary but how come it hasn’t recovered yet?
“Same old, same old. It will get better with time.” Compared to Fang Yan’s worry and nervousness, Zheng Weiqian was unconcerned about it.
“En.” Fang Yan nodded in disappointment. Instead of letting him take a risky surgery, it is better for him to just wait instead. Maybe he can regain his vision tomorrow.
“Yanyan, let’s go for a walk.” The past few days, he had been staying home so it is boring.
Fang Yan thought about it. In fact, she also wanted to go for a walk. “Alright.” She turned to Old Wang, “Old Wang, you go back first. I’ll take him out for a walk and then take a taxi back.”
“All right.” Old Wang respectfully responded. He is already treating Fang Yan as the future Mrs. Zheng so what she says will count.
