Zheng Weiqian’s eyes have fully recovered. As for wounds on his body, there are all superficial injuries on the body so they have long recovered already. During these days, he also started to prepare to get back to work. Before when Zheng Weiqian was working at the company, Zheng Jialun hardly manages the company's affair. However, while his son was injured, it was still quite difficult for Zheng Jialun to take over.
In order to celebrate Zheng Weiqian’s recovery, Zheng Xinya proposed to have a small gathering at home. She even invited some of his friends from the business world to join in the celebration as a way to announce Zheng Weiqian’s return to work. Zheng Weiqian had no opinions about it but did not invite Lin Yifan or Lin Xuanxuan due to their relationship with Fang Yan.
Fang Yan doesn’t like this kind of scene but she still came to support Zheng Weiqian. She originally thought only a few of his close friends would come but she didn’t expect to see a lot of people. Most of them are here for business matters as they move busily around. But what Fang Yan is most surprised that Fang Minghao also came and is chatting happily with Zheng Jialun.
“Daddy.” Fang Yan sweetly called out to him. Although she had been in Shanghai for a few months, she had been busy taking care of Zheng Weiqian so she didn’t have time to see Fang Minghao.
Fang Minghao turned around. When he saw Fang Yan, he couldn’t hide his joy, “Yanyan.” But when he remembered that his daughter had been in Shanghai for three months and didn’t come to see him, he immediately became dispirited. “So you still remember that I exist. I thought you forgot about me.”
“Daddy….” Fang Yan whined.

In the bathroom, Fang Yan splashed water on her face to alleviate the warmth. However, she didn’t notice that the smile on her face looks forced. She was a little angry and annoyed by their words but by the desire in her heart.
Fang Yan squinted and shook her head. She didn’t think too much about it and took a paper towel to wipe her face. Suddenly, she felt a warm liquid coming out of her nose and reached out to touch it. She could feel the warm and sticky on her cold fingertips. She couldn’t put her finger on what the liquid in her hand is as it continues to seep out of her nose. Fang Yan slowly opened her eyes and saw that her hands were stained bright red. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and saw two strings of liquid continue to pool down her nose. It dark red blood drips down into the water and gradually dissipates.
Fang Yan stood there, witless. Fear and worry crept up into her chest. In a panic, she began to rinse herself. She looked at the clear transparent sink in front of her and saw it dyed red. Fang Yan started to cry, unable to stop the tears from flowing. She knew that her body is changing in some ways. The dizziness she has been hit with the past few days is the best example of it.
She tidied herself up and apply some powder on her face to hide her pale complexion. She made sure that there were any changes that could be seen before she walked out. She doesn’t want anyone to know about this, especially the people she cares about. Fang Yan made up her mind to go to the hospital tomorrow.
Today is the day that Zheng Weiqian returned to work. He made plans with Fang Yan to go out for dinner tonight. Fang Yan didn’t tell him about the changes in her body and of course, she didn’t tell him that she is going to the hospital today.
When the doctor showed her the test results, Fang Yan was in a state of shock. She didn’t get emotional or complain about how unfair it is to get this illness when she is still so young. However, when the doctors and nurses were feeling sorry for her, she only smiled. It just that they did not notice that tears started to fall when she turned around. In fact, before she went to the hospital she already mentally prepared herself. This report only confirms her suspicions. There is nothing to fuss about, besides, she can only accept the reality.
Fang Yan didn’t know how she got back to her apartment or how long she had been sitting in the living room. She was thinking a lot, both about her future and past. It wasn’t until Zheng Weiqian called at seven to remind her about dinner that she realized she had been sitting there for six hours.

She rushed to put powder on her face to cover her pale cheeks and applied lipstick before rushing out the door.
