The weather in May is probably the most comfortable. Lu Wei Xi wore a thin white long sleeve with a pair of simple blue jeans. Even though it is plain and she didn’t wear any makeup, she still attracted quite a number of attention from the opposite sex as she walks down the road. Of course, if she is compared to Cheng Si Ran, her looks are inferior.
Don’t know what special day today is but Cheng Si Ran wanted to treat them out today. Moreover, it is at the most upscale and expensive restaurant near University T.
“Si Ran, why are you so excited today? A meal here for all of us costs around $400 in total. If you have the money, just keep it and buy a skirt for yourself.” The first one to speak is the always hard-working and frugal Mu Ran Ran.
“Exactly, we’re not strangers, why do we need to go eat at an expensive restaurant. Even if you don’t feel bad, I will.” The second one to speak is Xia Nuan who sees money like dirt. For her, sitting in a high-end restaurant, you won’t get full even if you chew slowly for an hour. It’s a better deal to just go to a street stand and buy twenty-dollars worth of skewers.
Lu Wei Xi stood at the entrance and stared at the upscale decoration of the restaurant. She also felt that it is not good for Cheng Si Ran to pay for them so instead, she decided on a compromise, “Si Ran, if you really want to eat here, why don’t we just split the bill. That way it is shared equally. We each pay around sixty bucks so it won’t be too expensive.”
When she said this, Mu Ran Ran and Xia Nuan also concurred.
But Cheng Si Ran wasn’t the slightest bit moved at all. While she walked to the door, she mysteriously kept them in suspense, “My gosh, I know that you’re all worried about my wallet but don’t worry, I’m not the one treating. It’s someone trying to win favor using me as a pretense.”

Lu Wei Xi blankly stared at her, not understanding what she meant and could only catch up to her.
The ambiance of the restaurant is very quaint, entirely decked out according to the classical Japanese layout. Each small room is separated by a screen panel. On both sides of the table is a neat row of zabuton for the guests to sit on. As they walk into the restaurant, they saw a small water fountain and heard the sound of the Shinohara. The waiters wore kimonos as they stood in front of the door and greeted the guests.
Cheng Si Ran took them to the third floor and brought them room 312.
Lu Wei Xi was at the very end. Just as she was about to step in, she looked up and was shocked.
That’s because the person sitting on the zabuton smiling at her is Lu Yu.
Not only Lu Wei Xi, even Xia Nuan and Mu Ran Ran are startled. They exchanged a look and seemed to have come upon a tacit understanding.
When Cheng Si Ran saw Lu Yu, she brightly smiled and pulled Lu Wei Xi over as she spoke with rare enthusiasm, “Xi Xi, those few days when you went to the United States, Lu Yu was worried about you and always asked me how you were doing. Mu Ran Ran who had always been indifferent to the feelings between men and women looked at the strange scene in front of her and silently took out her phone to start playing games.
I hate these types of so-called friends in Cdrama novel and drama that set you up because they think they always smarter, better or knows what best for you. FL need some damn character growth.
