Today, Zheng Weiqian brought Fang Yan out to meet some of his friends. Fang Yan wanted to refuse because she felt like his friends are not someone she wants to see. But seeing him look at her in prayer with sincere eyes, she couldn’t bear to refuse him.
They went to a high-class club for dinner. Basically, everyone who frequents that place is not ordinary people and are powerful figures in the business world. However, the more high-class a place is, the more annoying the rules are. Because she feels uncomfortable with so many rules, Fang Yan prefers some less luxury places.
Zheng Weiqian held Fang Yan’s hand as they went upstairs to the room they booked. The reason why this club is so favored by those celebrities and wealthy businessmen is not only because of its luxurious decorations but also because of its privacy. From the fifteenth floor and up, there is only one private room on each floor with its own waiters specifically for each floor. Besides doing things within the scope of their duties, they would never care for who comes here and mostly keep their mouth shut.
Sometimes when talking about something or needing their own privacy, this is the preferred place to meet.
“Your friends are very upper-class!” Looking at the extravagant decorations surrounding her, Fang Yan couldn’t help but sigh. There is only one private room on each floor and a group of people to serve these selected few. It really is a luxury. “Tell me, will they think that I’m unsuitable for you?” Fang Yan suddenly stopped and looked at him. Although she said it as a joke, a hint of sarcasm could be heard.
“What are you talking about?” Zheng Weiqian pinched her nose. If he didn’t know that she is Uncle Hao’s daughter, he would really think that she has low self-esteem. But now that he knows everything, he knows that she is just messing with him.
Zheng Weiqian suddenly wonders why she never talked about her relationship with Uncle Hao or even her relationship with Fang Rui, both of which he found out on his own. Fang Yan doesn’t even know that he knows. He didn’t say or ask anything, because he assumed she will take the initiative to tell him all this.
Seeing him in a daze, Fang Yan pulled his hand and asked, “What is it?”
“Huh?!” When he recovered his senses, Zheng Weiqian realized he is standing in the middle of the aisle with her and smiled, “Nothing, let’s go.” Maybe they just recently started dating so Fang Yan would tell him when the time comes.
Fang Yan smiled not paying mind to his inattentiveness. Inside the private room are Lin Yi Fan, Lin Xuanxuan and Zheng Xinya as well as two of their classmates. Because everyone knew each other, the atmosphere isn’t very awkward and was quite lively. Seeing this scene, Fang Yan felt like she was the only outsider.
“You brat, we waited for you for a long time.” The person speaking is Zheng Weiqian’s university classmate Yang Tianming. He recently opened a computer software company in Shanghai and the business has been doing very well in recent years.
“Today I am the protagonist so the attention will be on me.” Zheng Weiqian rudely said. Then he courteously pulled out the chair for Fang Yan and let her sit next to Lin Xuanxuan and then sat next to her.
“Hello, I’m Fang Yan.” Fang Yan smiled and introduced herself. Lin Xuanxuan looked at her and then turn away.
“Well, since everyone’s here let’s order.” Lin Yifan said.
Because it’s a private room, their food arrived very quickly. Yang Tianming is the most active one out of the bunch and always seemed to have something to say. Liu Wei may be concerned with his career as he always has a serious expression on his face. If Zheng Weiqian didn’t tell her that he was the boss of “Dahua Computer,” Fang Yan would never place that image on Yang Tianming. He really doesn’t look like a business leader.
“Are you bored?” Zheng Weiqian whispered in her ear.
“No, he is very interesting.” Fang Yan smiled and shook her head.
“What are you two walking about, so sour.” Tang Tianming looked at their whispering to each other blinding him with their PDA.
“Why so jealous?” Zheng Weiqian bickered and deliberately wrapped his arm around Fang Yan’s shoulder.
“Miss Fang, what does your family do?” Lin Xuanxuan suddenly asked.
“Yeah, Miss Fang, what does your family do?” Everyone curiously asked.
Zheng Weiqian looked at Fang Yan waiting for an answer. He really wants to know how she would reply.
“Nothing much, just an average family.” Fang Yan thought and said.
“Yes, the first time I saw Miss Fang, I felt like you seem familiar like I have seen you somewhere before.” Lin Xuanxuan suddenly held onto Fang Yan’s hand and warmly said, “Why do I feel like we know each other for a long time and that we are very close.”
Fang Yan froze, she doesn’t know why she suddenly asked this. Does she know something?
“Don’t you think so, Miss Fang Yan.” Lin Xuanxuan noticed her change and was able to confirm what was in her heart.
“R-really? It can’t be.” Fang Yan absentmindedly said.
“Yes, you give me the feeling of being sisters, don’t you think so, ge?” Lin Xuanxuan turned at smiled at Lin Yifan.
Fang Yan coldly look at Lin Xuanxuan, her hand is being tightly grasped by her. As she tried to break away, she increased her strength.
“I have to use the restroom.” Fang Yan turned and said to everyone; she needs to control her mood.
“I’ll go with you.” Lin Xuanxuan said.
