When Fang Yan woke up, it is already two in the afternoon. She didn’t know when Zheng Weiqian had left. She recalled what happen last night and this morning and unconsciously blushed. After her feeling of shame, her heart was filled with satisfaction and sweetness.
She randomly put on a jacket and walks straight toward the kitchen. She just wants to find something in the refrigerator to fill her stomach. From last night til now, especially after their “violent exercise,” her stomach had been growling with hunger.
When she opened the refrigerator, she surprisingly found a sandwich sitting inside. There was also a note next to it: Heat it up first and take a day off today to rest. I will pick you up for dinner tonight. Looking at the note and the sandwich Fang Yan smiled. It was a very beautiful and very happy smile.
Fang Yan was so touched that someone made her a sandwich this morning that she decided to wash her hand first before she enjoyed her feast. After eating the sandwich made with love, Fang Yan began to prepare for the romantic dinner tonight. After all, as a person who has lived in Shanghai for six years, she knows how to make some home-style dish. Also, she had learned a dish or two from Yu Weiya so it shouldn’t be hard to prepare for a dinner meal.
Time flies when you have a busy schedule. Fang Yan felt like she hasn’t accomplished much when the sky darkened in a blink of an eye. Fang Yan prepared everything she needed and along the way, she cleaned the entire room and even changed to the clothes that she recently bought. Fang Yan looked herself in the mirror and felt like she is a newlywed housewife today. Cooking, cleaning, and then dressing up beautifully and wait for the husband to come back and have dinner with him, this should be a type of happiness.
The time passed by minute by minute until the hot dish turned cold. She looked at the time on her phone and saw that it is already 8:35. Zheng Weiqian hasn’t come yet and he didn’t call her during this time. Fang Yan’s excitement reduced with each passing minute. She thought that he might be busy working overtime and forgot about dinner, so Fang Yan decided to call him directly. After a busy ringtone, a mechanical voice sounded telling her that the other party couldn’t be reached and to call back later…..Fang Yan frowned and decided to call his office instead. After a while, a man’s cold voice sounded, “Hello?”
“You’re really still at the company! Who’s the one who wrote a note to tell me that they will pick me up for dinner tonight? I’m starving to death!” Fang Yan told him over the phone, “Also, did you misplace your phone, I couldn’t get a hold of you.”
Zheng Weiqian looked at the phone on his table and said, “I was very busy today so I forgot to call you. I must’ve placed my phone in the conference room. You eat first, I still have some work to do so I can’t come to you.” Zheng Weiqian lied to her because he doesn’t know how to face her. Lin Xuanxuan’s words today echoed in his ears suddenly uncertain whether Fang Yan really does love him. He’s afraid that Lin Xuanxuan might be telling the truth. If that is the case, what should he do, should he break up with her? He really doesn’t know what to do so when Fang Yan called him earlier, he didn’t have the courage to pick up.
“But I already prepared a table full of dishes.” Fang Yan understood that that is the nature of his work but she is still left disappointed. She told him with worry, “Then don’t work too late and remember to eat.”
When he heard her disappointed and concerned tone, Zheng Weiqian could not bear to let her down, “Wait for me, I’ll come right now.” Maybe he should ask her himself. Maybe it is not like what Lin Xuanxuan says. Maybe she really does love him.
“Okay, I’ll wait for you, no matter how long it takes.” When she heard that he will come, Fang Yan sweetly replied back.
It didn’t take long for Zheng Weiqian to appear at Fang Yan’s small studio apartment. When he saw the dishes on the table and Fang Yan smiling happily, he felt like it would be great if he lived like this for a lifetime.
He pulled her to sit down and said, “If you’re hungry, eat first. No need to wait for me.”
“I wanted to eat together with you.” Being in love really could change a woman. Before Fang Yan would never have done such a thing but now she felt like this is how it should be and it is not awkward at all.
"Let’s eat." Zheng Weiqian pinched her nose.
After they finished eating, they sat on the sofa and watched TV. Fang Yan felt like Zheng Weiqian is acting very strange today but she could tell why. He would still laugh and joke with her but she still felt like there is something wrong, “Weiqian, was work tiring today?”
"En, a little." But it is not because of work. Maybe he can try to ask her now, Zheng Weiqian thought.
"Right, when will you take me to meet your parents?" Zheng Weiqian suddenly asked.
"Huh." Fang Yan did not expect that he would suddenly mention this. Fang Yan vaguely replied, “They’re not in Shanghai but I will find a time to introduce you to them.” These past few days there has been some issues with the office in the U.S. so Uncle hao temporarily went back. Also, Aunt Qing had always been in Z City so they are not in Shanghai.
“En. You never told me about your family, why don’t you tell me a little about them.” Zheng Weiqian continued to ask.
“There’s really not much to say, it’s very generic.” Fang Yan didn’t look at him as she said this.
Zheng Weiqian looked at her with a complicated look in his eyes. It turns out that she really didn't intend to tell him everything about her own. It turns out the reason she might have been with him is like what Lin Xuanxuan said. It turns out that he might be her tool for revenge.

It is so charming what ZWQ commented to FY before regarding to their feelings to one another. If or when they have doubts they should either discuss or let one another know yet ZWQ do exactly what FY do to him before believing in third party LXX.
