The next day in the afternoon, Fang Yan pushed her luggage out of Beijing Airport. When she first “escaped” to that little town, she only brought a small bag with her, now she had two luggage with her. Because she bought too many things there, she had to buy two luggage in the small town to carry all her stuff. Inside the luggage were full of useful and useless things. It doesn’t matter though, it is all dispensable. Some people say that women who are happy like to go shopping, and when they are unhappy, they would still like to go shopping. Pushing the two luggage out of the airport, Fang Yan felt like this sentence makes sense.
Fang Yan only told them she would come back today but not what time. When she exited the airport, she called for a taxi. Fang Yan gave the driver an address as they departed from the airport and headed to her destination.
The car entered a high-end neighborhood and stopped in front of a villa. The driver helped her move all of her luggage as she paid the cab fare. She stepped forward and press the doorbell. A moment later, a middle-aged woman opens the door. Fang Yan smiled, “Chen ma.”
Chen ma opened the door and was stunned when she saw Fang Yan before she excitedly said, “Miss, Miss you’re back. Quickly come in.” She quickly helped Fang Yan move her luggage into the house.
In the living room, the Old Madame, Bai Yun, and Fang Junxing were surrounding Fang Rui and Yu Weiya and joking happily thus they temporarily did not notice Fang Yan’s arrival. Fang Rui and Yu Weiya arrived in the morning. When the Old Madame heard that her future granddaughter-in-law will be coming to offer her birthday blessings, her heart was bursting with joy. As she pulled Yu Weiya to chat and examine her, she became even more satisfied with this granddaughter-in-law. Fang Rui had never brought a girl home before but seeing as how he confidently brought her home, it can be said he is serious about their relationship. Fang Junxing and Bai Yun study Yu Weiya and occasionally bow their heads and whisper to each other. There is a constant smile on their faces, showing that they are also satisfied with her.
When Chen ma saw everyone bustling and surrounding Yu Weiya and ignoring Fang Yan, she announced, “Old Madame, Miss is back.”
Chen ma’s words got everyone's attention as they looked up and saw a smiling Fang Yan.
“Yanyan!” Yu Weiya exclaimed. Fang Yan smiled brightly as if to say the wounds in her heart are fine.
“Grandmother.” Fang Yan put down her stuff and walked over to the Old Madame. She embraced her and said, “Yanyan came back to see you.” As she was speaking, tears fell from her eyes.
The old madame also shed some tears as she pats Fang Yan’s back, “You’re back, you’re back…”
The atmosphere became heavy with the emergence of Fang Yan. After a while, she let go of Fang Yan and examined her. She raised her hand and pinched her cheeks as she frowned, “You’ve gotten skinnier.”
“The food outside isn’t good.” Fang Yan smiled.
“Then come home. I’ll have Chen ma make all of your favorite dishes every day.” The Old Madame said in distress.
“Okay, in the future I will come back every day to eat.” Maybe it will be better to stay in Beijing than to go back to Shanghai, Fang Yan thought in her heart.
“All right, all right. Yanyan just came back, let her rest. We’ll talk later.” At the side, Fang Junxing interrupted them, his eyes a little watery.
Fang Yan turned around and hugged Fang Junxing, “Uncle.” Her tears falling down.
“Silly child.” He had already heard what happened but seeing that she came back, he knows that she is fine.
“Chen ma, let’s go buy some food. I will cook tonight.” Bai Yun said to Chen ma, some tears hidden in the corner of her eyes. She still remembers Yanyan likes to eat the Lion’s Head and Cola Chicken Wings that she makes.
“Thank you, auntie.” Fang Yan heart was moved. This is her family, they will always give the best for you even when you do not ask for it.
Yu Weiya and Fang Rui smiled, happy that Fang Yan returned and pleased with the care of their loved ones.
Because there were too many things to pack last night, she did not get enough sleep. Also, this morning she had to catch an early flight so Fang Yan is extremely tired at the moment. She obediently went back to her room to rest.
Exhausted, Fang Yan slept for more than three hours and when she awakened it is already eight in the evening. When the group of people who were happily chatting in the living room saw her come out, Fang Jinxing informed the housekeeper to prepare dinner.
After eating, they all gathered in the living room to chat. Because the Old Madame is already up in years, she chatted for a while before going back to rest. The others also chatted a little longer before dispersing. Because Yu Weiya felt like she didn’t get to talk to Fang Yan as much as she wanted, she decided to sleep with Fang Yan for the night. They nestled together on the big bed and whispered to each other like college students.
Fang Yan took out and flaunted all the souvenirs she bought from the small town ranging from things that could be worn to being useful.
“God! Do you want to move everything from the town?” Yu Weiya exclaimed as she looked at all the useful and useless things she took out.
“At that time I wasn’t paying attention, so I didn’t notice I bought so many.” Fang Yan began to organize everything.
Yu Weiya also helped her put everything away and casually asked, “Was it fun over there?”
“Not really, I like the environment there though.” Fang Yan really loves it there, “If it wasn’t for Granny’s birthday, I would’ve stayed there longer.”
When she said this, Yu Weiya got vexed. She was so happy there but she didn’t even think about the people here who were worried about her, “You’re too cruel. I’ve sent you so many emails but you only replied to so little.”
“Hehe…” When she saw Yu Weiya’s ugly expression, Fang Yan forced out a laugh, “Sorry. It won’t happen again.”
“Heng.” Yu Weiya pettily turned her head away.
Seeing her like this, an idea flashed in Fang Yan’s head. She smiled, “Still angry?”
Yu Weiya gave her a disdainful look as if to say: You already know the answer, why are you still asking.
Fang Yan suddenly reached out and attacked her armpit. She still remembers Weiya is most afraid of people tickling her.
“Hehe...Fang Yan you, you shameless…” Yu Weiya was tickled to her limit, as she fell on the bed in between anger and laughter, “Stop, stop messing around...stop.”
“Then don’t be angry and forgive me.”
“Hehe...I forgive you, stop messing around.” Yu Weiya begged.
Fang Yan let her go as they laid on the bed and adjusted their breathing. After a while, Yu Weiya said, “They’re engaged.”
Although she didn’t say any names, Fang Yan knows who she is talking about. She thought that she had put everything past here, but hearing this sudden news, her heart still hurts.
“Oh.” Fang Yan simply responded and continue to pack her stuff.
Yu Weiya didn’t say anymore. Maybe two months isn’t enough time, she should give her more time.
