Zhu Gan remembered this clearly because when Li Shen went out with Lily to swindle others, he let Li Shen borrow his clothes.
And it was his most expensive outfit too.There weren’t many classes to take during the senior year so Li Shen skipped a day to run around to different wedding companies with Yu Wan. In order to make himself look more like someone about to get married, he specifically borrowed a suit from Zhu Gan.
Out of the four people living in the dorm, only Zhu Gan bought a suit. While Li Shen stood in front of the mirror buttoning the dress shirt, he complained, “Zhu Gan, you are really too thin. I am afraid that the buttons will burst if I move.”
“......” Zhu Gan, worried about the state of his clothes, hurriedly rushed over. His clothes didn’t fit well on Li Shen’s body. When he wears it, it hangs loose on his body but on Li Shen, his muscles are visible through the tight shirt.
“Hey, don’t wear it, it’s a little small on you. I only have this one shirt and I need to wear it for my interview!”
Just as Zhu Gan was about to strip away the shirt from him, Li Shen dodged, “What are you doing? Trying to take off my clothes in the morning, you can’t restrain yourself anymore could you!”
Zhu Gan, “.....”
The two other roommates snickered when they heard this. Zhu Gan’s face flushed red and didn’t try to take back his shirt again, “Whatever the case, this is my only dress shirt. If you rip it, you have to compensate me.”
Li Shen revealed a hurt expression, “We slept together for four years and I can’t compare to a single piece of clothing?”
The two roommates started to laugh again. Embarrassed, Zhu Gan cursed at Li Shen, “I’ll only let you borrow the shirt, give back my pants!”
Li Shen threw the pants hanging on the chair to him, “I wasn’t planning on wearing it. It’s too small.”
The other two roommates couldn’t help but laugh, “Hahaha. Li Shen, where is Zhu Gan too small?”
Li Shen raised a brow at them, “Where do you think?”
“Hahaha!”
Zhu Gan, “.....”
He was almost angered to death.
He regretted urging him to get to know Lily!
Li Shen reluctantly put on the shirt and fixed his hair. He picks up the suit jacket and went out.
The wedding company Yu Wan arranged to meet at is called Distinguished Love. Li Shen has never heard of it and simply rushed over to the address she sent him.
When he arrived, Yu Wan was already waiting for him downstairs. She wore a red dress and even had some light makeup on. She was standing under the shade looking down at her phone. Li Shen smiled and walked up to her, “Lily.”
Yu Wan looked up and saw Li Shen wearing a suit and smiling at her under the sun.
His eyebrows and even the arc of his lips are like a gift from god. Yu Wan returned to her senses and replied back to him, “Ah, Li Shen, you’ve arrived.”
“En.” Li Shen deliberately swept aside his bangs and smiled, “How do I look?”
“More mature than before. But isn’t the shirt a little too small?”
Li Shen laughed, “I borrowed it from Zhu Gan. He is too thin.” He studied her appearance, “You also look mature today. I finally believe you are a year and a half older than me.”
“Uh….” Yu Wan unconsciously hooked her hair behind her ear, “A year and a half older doesn’t show much of a difference in appearance.”
Li Shen smiled and held out his arm to her, “Let’s go, my fiancee”
Although she knew he is talking about the role they are playing today, Yu Wan couldn’t control her reddening ears. She took his right arm and walked into the office building together.
Distinguish Love Wedding is on the seventh floor. Yu Wan had already booked an appointment in advance so when they arrived at the entrance, a young woman at the front desk asked them, “Are you Miss Yu and Mr. Li?”
“Yes.” Yu Wan was a little nervous, for fear that others would catch up to their ruse. “I made an appointment on your website before.”
“Okay, please come this way.”
The young woman led them to sit down on the sofa and gave them two glasses of water, “May I asked if you know about any of our company’s planners before coming here? Is there any that you specifically like?”
“No.” Yu Wan shook her head, “Who is the best here?”
The young woman smiled, “Our planners have many years of experience in the industry so they are the best. Since the two of you don’t have any specific candidates in mind, why don’t I call one over for you? Is that okay?”
“Yes.”
After the young woman went to call someone, a young man in his twenties came over with a bright smile on his face, “You must be Miss Yu and Mr. Li. I am Distinguished Love’s wedding planner, Jiang Zheng. Nice to meet you.”
He stretched his hand out, his whole person looking warm. Li Shen stood up and shook hands with him.
Jiang Zheng sat opposite of them, still holding a professional smile on his face, “First of all, congratulations to you two. You two look very well-matched. Now, I want to know what kind of wedding you two want to do and what your budget is.”
Yu Wan sat up straight and recited the lines she memorized, “We want a lawn wedding in October. Because the two of us only graduated a year ago, we don’t have much money and want to make it simple.”
“Okay, I understand. I’ve planned a few lawn weddings before. Let me show you some of them.” Jiang Zheng pulled up a folder on the laptop he brought with him and showed it to Yu Wan.
This wedding company that Yu Wan found is mid-tier. After looking at some of the pictures he showed, she felt that…..it is not as good as hers.
“If your budget is small, I recommend hosting it at this restaurant. The cost of rent for the lawn is low and it is very close to the eating place. It’s convenient and affordable. What do you think?”
Li Shen smiled when he saw him look over, “I’m fine with anything. All that matters is if our Wanwan likes it.”
Fireworks burst in her her heart when she heard him say “Wanwan.” Jiang Zheng saw her red ears and scorned––
Heh, it’s a love-struck couple.
Jiang Zheng put on a mild smile as he faced Yu Wan who has her head lowered, “ "How does Miss Yu feel? If you have any ideas, let's discuss them together."
Yu Wan let out a small cough and reminded herself to keep her head straight, “I feel these are a little too simple. Our parents will also take out a little money to help with the wedding so I want it to be a little better than these.”
“Ok, I understand.” Jiang Zheng closed the folder and opened another one, “Miss Yu, look at these. Are they better?”
Yu Wan looked at the screen. Compared to the previous concepts, these are bigger and there are more flowers. There is no difference in essence–– they are all the same and generic.
She felt that what her teacher said to her perfectly suited Jiang Zheng.
She smiled at Jiang Zheng and said, “Can we discuss this at home?”
“Yes, you can contact me any time.”
Yu Wan took the business card he handed over and walked out with Li Shen. After walking out of the office building, Yu Wan let out a breath. Her action caused Li Shen to smile. He looked at her with his eyes bent into crescents, “Were you really that nervous? You looked really calm though.”
Yu Wan patted her chest, “My heart was beating really fast earlier. I was afraid they would find out.”
Li Shen smiled, “Don’t worry. It was only your first time. You will get the hang of it. But we’d better change our names next time.”
Yu Wan looked at him in surprise, “You want to continue accompanying me to wedding companies?”
Li Shen raised his eyebrows, “Didn’t you say you want to know every part of the wedding industry in A City. He doesn’t represent the entire industry.”
“Uh….” Yu Wan was very touched. Honestly speaking, she didn’t dare to do this kind of thing alone. With a man accompanying her, she felt more at ease, “Wouldn’t it delay your studies?”
“No, I will only go out when I have no class.”
“That’s good.” Yu Wan looked at the time and said, “I also made an appointment with two other companies today. Let’s go.”
“Okay.”
Just like this, in the following month, Li Shen accompanied Yu Wan to run around all the big and small wedding companies in City A. Whether it was a Chinese wedding, a Western wedding, or a themed wedding, they would be able to understand all of it and have come up with hundreds of surnames for themselves.
This was not an easy task. Yu Wan doesn’t know if Li Shen did not accompany her if she could persist. Hard work is hard work, but the gains are remarkable. At least she understands that everyone’s skills are bad. :)
She had also been to City A’s most famous wedding company. But when they saw her and Li Shen’s appearance, they know that they are just an ordinary couple so the plan they game them was ordinary. This made Yu Wan a little unhappy. Just because they don’t have the money to hold a luxurious wedding doesn’t mean they can’t have a special wedding. However, most wedding planners do not have this type of mindset.
There are also some who saw through their act. However, they maintained a harmonious facade and didn’t have any direct action.
Today is also another day of posing as a couple. She and Li Shen followed a planner to see the venue in Lize Park. The scenery here is beautiful so it is a popular venue for newlyweds.
After conversing, Yu Wan sent the planner away and walked back to Li Shen with two bottles of water she just bought. Li Shen was sitting on a park bench with his eyes closed and head tilted toward the sky.
It looks like he is sleeping.
Yu Wan froze. He had been very busy this month. Not only did he had to go to class, he had to accompany her to visit all these wedding companies. He also had to think about graduation on top of everything. She silently approached him and bent over him.
“Li Shen?”
A small voice called out to him but he did not respond.
The soft sunlight hit his face casting a shadow over his hair and lashes. He was like a beautiful youth that jumped out of a painting…..Yu Wan didn’t hold back and secretly stole a kiss.
Before her lips touched his, Yu Wan never thought she would act this bold. The feeling is more tense and exciting than when she ran away from City C to City A with only her diploma.
But this adrenaline was only a temporary thing. Yu Wan quickly realized what she had done and tried to distance herself from him.
Just as her lips left his, Li Shen suddenly raised his hand and held the back to her head.
