In the end, they ordered takeout.
Thinking up to this point, Yu Wan couldn’t help but smile. She looked at when the magazine was going to be released, went on the official site, and added it to the shopping cart.
The magazine will be out at ten o’clock the next morning and there are two editions: special and regular. There are only 3000 copies available of the special edition which includes an autographed poster. At ten o’clock, Yu Wan processed her order. She gave a moment of silence to the lost “special edition poster” and added the regular version into her cart.
After exiting the site, Yu Wan was still unwilling to let it go. She went on Weibo and looked for the same picture that is on the poster, the one where Li Shen is undressing, and set it as her screensaver.
After setting it up, Yu Wan gave it an appreciative look. Before she locked her screen, she heard Zhao Xin exclaim behind her, “You like Li Shen too?!”
Startled, Yu Wan quickly clicked a few buttons and tried to hide it, “No.”
“Then why do you have his picture as your screensaver!”
“I just think his picture is nice and it would look good as a screensaver.”
“....” Zhao Xin was speechless, “Yes, he does look good.”
“....” That’s right.
Zhao Xin rolled her chair to her side and excitedly told her, “This picture is from this month’s photoshoot. The special edition comes with that poster!”
“Oh.” Yu Wan showed no interest in her face. After a while, she quietly asked, “So did you get the special edition?”
Zhao Xin answered, “I got it! I’m in a small group and there is a girl who’s good at doing these things!”

She did not expect was that after the special edition was released, it would cause a small disturbance. Like her, many fans were unable to get the special edition. If anything else, the girl who helped Zhao Xin buy a magazine is making money off of this!
The magazine made a public apology on their Weibo and admit that it is indeed their fault for not considering this problem but there is nothing they can do about it now. They can only improve on it next time.
Finally, the situation finally died down when Li Shen appeared and posted a “limited edition selfie.”
Not even a few days after the whole magazine debacle, ABA Station released this year’s documentary. With the addition of Qiao Yichen’s soundtrack and Li Shen’s narration, it had already attracted a lot of edition in the beginning.
With this popularity, ABA also gave back to the fans an excellent production. This time, the documentary is about beer, which can be a sister production of their previous documentary on wine.
In the eyes of the public, beer seemed to be more friendly and casual than red wine but after watching the documentary, you can find that beer has a rich history like red wine and can even be considered to be more elegant.
After the documentary aired, it received a lot of praise. Not only did it receive a record high compared to the previous years, but the number of hits on the Internet also soared. At the end of the documentary, Li Shen’s deep and gentle voice can be slowly heard, “All the fatigue of the day ends in a glass of beer. Sweet dreams, baby.”
A simple word of baby sent him to the hot search again.

While there are discussing this, Li Shen is currently rehearsing at A City Conservatory.
In March, A City Conservatory will be celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. For this grand event, not only did they invited notable alumni who work behind the scenes, but they also invited popular singers like Li Shen.
A City Conservatory had been established for many years and had sent many people into the music industry. Although not everyone was invited this time, those who are confirmed to be attending would make it dazzling as if they are holding a mini-concert.
The students in the school were naturally excited. Even though it is only a dress rehearsal today, many people still came over to take a peek. Because of this, the school dispatched some security guards to keep the notable alumni safe.
When Li Shen came on seen, he was decked out in black. He wore a pair of sunglasses and his hat was pulled low, his face barely able to be seen. However, when the prelude of 《Heartstring》sounded from the speakers, the students standing outside began to scream wildly.
The school’s security tried to maintain order at the scene, however, despite not seeing Li Shen’s face, the students still sang along.
After Li Shen was finished with rehearsals, he was escorted out of the school. After he got inside the car, he sat down and took off his sunglasses and hat. Xiao Dong, who was with him the entire time, also let out a breath. The students are really passionate. She was afraid they would break through the barricade of guard and rush into the stadium.
“Brother Shen, do you want to go straight home?” Xiao Dong didn’t need to drive today so she sat comfortably on the passenger side. Li Shen who doesn’t have anything else scheduled for the day nodded, “En.”
As the driver drove out, Li Shen looked out the winder at his alma mater. There are many good memories of him here but unfortunately, he can’t take a good look today.
They left the campus through the side entrance where many snack shops lined the street. These shops don’t close until ten in the evening. After passing by a shop selling crispy pancakes, Li Shen’s eyes shifted as he said to the driver, “Stop the car.”
Xiao Dong nervously looked back at him, “What is it?”
“That shop’s crispy pancake is really delicious. I haven’t had it in a while. Help me buy one.”
Xiao Dong, “...”
Okay. Brother Shen wants to eat, how can she not buy it.
She glanced up at the humble shop. There are around students standing in line at the front, “You still have to line up for this?”
“En, this shop’s crispy pancakes are really popular. There is always a line.” Li Shen also glanced at the queue, “Judging by the line, it should probably take around twenty minutes.”
Xiao Dong, “.....”
She wiped her face and said to Li Shen, “Brother Shen, it’s not that I don’t want to help you line up, it’s just that some of your fans know how your car looks like. What if a student recognizes it and surrounds the car? What are you gonna do?”
Li Shen replied, “I’ll have the driver find a hidden spot to park. After you buy it, take a taxi to our location.”

“Buy two beef ones with extra cilantro.”
“....Okay.”
After Xiao Dong went down to queue in line, the driver drove the car away. Li Shen cast a glance at the pancake shop and looked away.
In the past, Yu Wan really like the school’s crispy pancake shop. He often lined up to help buy her some.
During these years, the pancake shop is doing as good as ever but he and Yu Wan are not the same as before.
He took his phone out of his pocket. He stared at the screen for a while and opened Yu Wan’s WeChat profile.
Li Shen: I went back to school today and passed by the pancake shop. Do you want some?
Yu Wan just came home. When she saw Li Shen’s message, she replied without thinking, “Yes!!”
Yu Wan: I haven’t had it in a long time!
Li Shen: Then I’ll buy you one along the way.
Yu Wan: Okay, thank you!!
Li Shen smiled and asked, “Are you home?”
Yu Wan: En, just came back.
Li Shen: I’ll give you a call when I get back.
Yu Wan: OKay, I want beef pancake, with a lot of cilantro.
Li Shen: En.
He put away his phone and laughed at himself. In these past few years, he had been telling himself he had forgotten about Yu Wan. But not only did he not forget, he still remembers her preferences.
He pursed his lips and put his hat back on. He leaned back in his seat as he waits for Xiao Dong to come back.
It took her twenty minutes to come back with the two pieces of pancake. Li Shen took off his hat and opened his eyes when he heard the door open and looked at her, “Is it still hot?”
“It’s not too hot. You can eat it now.” She climbed into the car and handed him the pancakes. Li Shen took it but he didn’t take a bite. Xiao Dong gave him a sharp look, “The owner said to eat it while it’s hot otherwise it will get soggy.”
Li Shen simply replied, “I don’t like it when it’s crispy.”
Xiao Dong, “.....”
Why bother eating crispy pancakes then? Might as well get steamed buns instead!

ReplyDeleteI also laugh at Yu Wan pretty much lording her previous relationship over all these other fans .. in her head. I totally get that devastating feeling of not being able to get the limited edition you really want though.
