Chapter 35
Yu Wan ended the call with Li Shen and got started on her new plan. Because of the pressing time, Yu Wan kept some of the same details as before but made some adjustments per their requests.
Even so, when she completed the plan, it was already dark outside.
Yu Wan looked at the time and saw that it was almost 9 o’clock. She put her laptop in her bag and called Li Rui for Tan Ping’s location as she heads out the door.
Tan Ping had already moved to another bar in Qingnan Lane for the second round of drinks. When Yu Wan rushed over, Li Rui was already waiting for her at the entrance.
Once he saw Yu Wan he looked as if he had seen his savior, “Is the new plan ready?”
“En. but it is very simple. Let’s see if Miss Tan likes it first.” Yu Wan spoke very fast, looking as anxious as Li Rui, “Miss Tan doesn’t hate the color red right?”
When she conversed with Tan Ping before, she remembered hearing her say she didn’t hate the color crimson but she doesn’t like having it at weddings. In fact, few Chinese people hate the color red. Even those who don’t like the color would wear it in the holidays for luck and festiveness.
“No, she doesn’t hate any particular colors.”
“That’s good.” Yu Wan felt that it would be difficult to convince Li Rui’s mother but she still has some hope in convincing Miss Tan, “Is she inside?”
“Yes, I have been here the entire time.”
“Ok, don’t worry. I will talk to her.” Yu Wan nodded at Li Rui and walked inside with her bag. Fortunately, she dressed well specifically for her birthday today. If she wore her usual business attire, the bar people might not let her in.
Yu Wan quickly found Tan Ping by the bar and walked over. She doesn’t know how long she has been drinking but she looked sober except her cheeks were a little red.
“Hello, Miss Tan.” Yu Wan said down next to her and raised her voice. Tan Ping turned and frowned slightly when she recognized who it was. “What are you doing here? Li Rui should have told you our marriage is off. We don’t need to make any down payments."
Yu Wan wants to say if you’re not getting married, you will have to pay double the compensation fee. Instead, she coughed and suppressed her remark, “Mr. Li gave me a general rundown of the situation. I came here to show you a new plan.”
Tan Ping snorted and took a sip of her beer, “I don’t want to look at any plan. Anyway, he’s on his mother’s side, this marriage wouldn’t matter.”
Yu Wan pursed her lips. She has met many couples who quarrel before the wedding. She is also experienced in resolving them. After a moment of silence, she said to Tan Ping, “Miss Tan, I know you are at odds with Mr. Li’s mother, but Mr. Li wasn’t being biased toward his mother. After you said you’re not going to get married, he called me right away to come up with a plan you are both satisfied with. Also, he was following you the entire day today. You didn’t want to see him so he stood alone outside the bar. When I came, he was still standing outside. I don’t know how long he has been standing there.”
Tan Ping’s expression faltered. She finished the beer and turned to Yu Wan, “Let me take a look at your plan.”
Yu Wan smiled. She walked to a sitting booth with Tan Ping and took out her laptop, “I remember you said before you don’t hate crimson. Actually, you can also red weddings modern and trendy.”
She clicked on the newly created draft and showed it to Tan Ping, “It looks like this. The background will still be white. You can still have the screen dividers and the oil-paper umbrellas. As for the red color, we can incorporate it into the flower arrangement, red and white. It would tone down the bright red color. As for the type of flower, I pick roses. It would blend western elements into a traditional Chinese wedding.”
Tan Ping studied the design Yu Wan created and didn’t immediately voice any objections. Although at a glance the red is still eye-catching, it isn’t overpowering. Yu Wan naturally coordinated red and white throughout the design. For example, the embroidery decorations, which have red flowers on a white background.
“There are no red lanterns since I guess you won’t like it so I chose to use embroidery instead. The cake will also be white with red roses. For the ceremony, you don’t have to wear a xiuhe wedding gown, you can wear a white wedding dress instead. You can even wear a red embroidered wedding dress. What do you think?
Tan Ping thought for a moment, “Show it to Li Rui’s mom first. See if she agrees.”
Yu Wan knows that this means that she is yielding. Now, Li Rui has to settle his mother, “Okay, Mr. Li is outside. Do you want him to come in and take a look at it as well?”

Yu Wan smiled and walked away with her bag behind her back. She took a taxi to the restaurant Li Shen appointed. She called him along the way but no one answered.
When she arrived, the restaurant was already closed. Yu Wan walked around the restaurant and although she didn’t see Li Shen, she spotted his car.
He is driving his off-roading car which he parked near the restaurant. Since it is still here, it means that he hasn’t left yet right? Currently, it is 10:45. Just as she took her phone out to call Li Shen again, she heard someone say, “Yu Wan?”
Yu Wan froze and looked in the direction of the voice. A familiar-looking man stood not too far away. Yu Wan recalled for a second, “Boss Shu?”
Boss Shu is the owner of the restaurant they scheduled to have dinner at today. Hearing her answer, he was filled with surprise, “It’s really you, Yu Wan? I haven’t seen you in years. You have gotten prettier.”
Yu Wan bashfully smiled, “Is Li Shen still there?”
“Li Shen already went back. He waited for you for a long time. Why did you only come now?”
“I was working late.” Yu Wan glanced at the car again and was sure it is Li Shen’s, “His car is still here, how did he go back?”
“By walking.”
“....” Yu Wan’s head was filled with question marks. This is so far from Lize Park and he walked back home??
“Huh? You don’t know?” Boss Shu saw her blank face and said, “Li Shen rented the house you two used to live in.”
She suddenly couldn’t stay calm anymore, “He rented my old home?”
“Yes, it’s been more than a month.” Boss Shu couldn’t help but sign, “I didn’t expect him to be so passionate.”
Yu Wan stood there dumbstruck. Only when Boss Shu called her names a few times did she wake from her stupor.
“If you want to find him, go to the place you used to live. He drank some wine tonight so he couldn’t drive. I saw that he wasn’t in a good mood so I sent him back.”
“Ok.” Yu Wan slowly nodded, “Thank you.”
“No problem.” Boss Shu happily laughed, “Do you remember when I took pictures when he came here to sing for me? Currently, many of his fans come here to take pictures with his picture.”
Yu Wan followed her memory to find the house she used to live in. Maybe it’s because this place carries too many memories of her and Li Shen, both beautiful and painful, but as soon as she stepped in, all the emotions in her heart came tumbling like waves.
When she arrived at the room she originally lived in, Yu Wan took a deep breath before pressing the doorbell. There was no response. Yu Wan pressed the doorbell again and finally heard footsteps inside, followed by a click and the door opened.
Li Shen wore a t-shirt and his hair is messy like he had just woken up. When he saw Yu Wan at the door, he became a little more alert, “Yu Wan?”
“En.” Yu Wan realized her voice trembled a little when she spoke. She calmed down and continued, “Sorry I’m late. I just went to the restaurant and the boss said you are here.”
“Oh….” Li Shen rubbed his painful head, “I drank some wine tonight and fell asleep. Um….do you want to come in and sit down?”
Li Shen did not turn on the lights when he opened the door. Only the light from the window illuminated the room a little. Yu Wan peered inside and nodded, “Okay.”
She stepped foot into the room and many memories suddenly flowed in. The decorations have not changed. The furniture was placed with new ones but was in the same location.
The last time she and Li Shen were in this room was when they broke.
That memory was painful for both of them. Yu Wan would be upset whenever she thinks of it. She let out a breath and tried to turn on the lights. However, she didn’t notice the water stains on the floor and slipped sideways.
Li Shen quickly moved to catch her and they both fell onto the bed.
Li Shen’s eyes were especially bright in the darkness. Yu Wan’s hand on his chest could feel his powerful heartbeat.
She looked back at him and for a while forgot what to do. His chest was as broad as she thought it was. It was stronger and harder than before. He looked at the person on top of him and unconsciously tightened his hold on her waist.
The two did not know how long they had been staring at each other. Li Shen suddenly turned and pressed Yu Wan under him as he breathed rapidly.
Yu Wan was taken aback. Her ears are completely filled with Li Shen’s heavy breathing. He is like a beast, ready to pounce on her.
But he didn’t do so. There is still some reason left in him. Yu Wan knows what he was worried about and also knows that she can put his worries to rest.
The choice is in her hand. She looks into Li Shen’s bottomless black eyes. She presses her hands on his shoulders and leaned in to kiss his lips.
She remembered an old saying.

Chapter 36
This is the first time in three years that Li Shen and Yu Wan are stuck close together. The moment Yu Wan’s lips touched his, all his desires were ignited and the fire could not be suppressed.
He really, really wants her.
The two were familiar with each other’s bodies. Even though they haven’t done it in three years, they were still able to adapt quickly. Li Shen’s strength and force were stronger than ever. Yu Wan thought she could bear it but now she realized, she was totally wrong.
If Li Shen was considered a pile driver machine three years ago, then right now he is like a perpetual motion machine.
He seemed to be filled with endless strength and enthusiasm.
In the end, Yu Wan doesn’t even have the energy to scream out, all sounds were stuck in her throat. When Li Shen finally stopped, her mind was blurred. Li Shen looked at the dazed person under him. He moved close to her red ear and whispered, “Your physical strength is worse than three years ago.”
“......”
She clearly felt that she was going to lose consciousness but why can she still hear what Li Shen said.
Li Shen’s fingertip lingered on her face, his body still lying on top of her. After a while, he finally propped himself up, “I’m going to take a shower, do you want to wash up?”
Yu Wan’s breath still hasn’t evened out. She shook her head, “You wash first, I will lie down doe a minute.”
Li Shen got up from the bed and a while later, the sound of running water came from the bathroom. Yu Wan felt a little nervous hearing the sound. She lay down quietly for a while before sitting up and putting on a robe. She got up and opened the window, bringing in a breeze.
The cold wind blew away the lusty atmosphere in the room and sobered her up. She noticed a pack of cigarettes on the window sill, the brand she likes to smoke.
Yu Wan was surprised. She picked up the cigarette on top of the pack and pinched it between her fingers. Li Shen doesn’t smoke. When she came in, there was no cigarette smell in the room. This cigarette hasn’t been lit but there are shallow teeth marks on it as if someone put it in their mouth.
Yu Wan didn’t take out a new one. She took the cigarette and looked around. When she doesn’t see any lighters around, she went to the cupboard and turned on the stove to light the cigarette.
After she did so, she turned off the stove and walked back to the window as she took a puff.
The night view outside the window has not changed much from three years ago. The city shrouded in the night is much quieter than in the daytime. Only the sound of running water could be heard in the room. When the sound also stopped, Li Shen walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel.
As soon as he walked out, he saw Yu Wan smoking by the window. He frowned slightly and looked at her, “You haven’t quit smoking?”
Yu Wan turned around when she heard his voice. Yu Wan raised the cigarette in her and smiled, “This isn’t yours?”
The corner of his mouth slightly moved, not knowing how to explain.
He also only found out that she smokes after moving in with her. To be honest, he was surprised at the time.
Yu Wan usually looks very pure. She looks like the type of good girl who would get good grades and follow the rules in school. When Li Shen first noticed a pack of cigarettes in her house, he thought she got it out of curiosity but doesn’t smoke since the pack hasn’t been opened.
One day, when he came back from work at the bar, he saw Yu Wan leaning by the window like she is now, looking at the night sky, blowing out a huff of smoke.
Li Shen was shocked. His first reaction was she looked very sexy, making him heartthrob. However, he quickly dismissed that thought. He grimly walked over to her and took out the thin cigarette from her hand, “Why are you smoking?”
Yu Wan wasn’t angry that someone suddenly took away her cigarette. She blinked at him and said, “I was very stressed during my third year in high school so I would secretly take a smoke.”
Li Shen seriously replied, “You’re not in school anymore. You need to act more mature.”
Yu Wan, “....”
Li Shen took the cigarette case and showed her the warning message printed on it, “See, the case even tells you that smoking is harmful to your health.”
Yu Wan pouted, “ I don’t smoke a lot. Look, I only smoked this much in a long period of time.”

“They all have side effects. Why don’t you wear a condom instead if you don’t want side effects?:

Li Shen silently bought the medicine. As he walked past a vending machine, he saw there are condoms in it and bought all of them.
When Yu Wan came out of the shower, she saw that the sheets on the bed have been changed and the dirty ones are balled up in the corner.
“You’re done showering?” Li Shen saw her come out and picked up the dirtied sheets on the floor, “I bought some medicine. It is on the table.”
Yu Wan was surprised. Did he just go down to buy medicine for her? She looked in the direction of the dining table and saw a bottle of mineral water and a box of medicine.

Yu Wan was already asleep. Li Shen laid beside her and stared at her back for a while before he whispered, “Wanwan, are you asleep?”
Yu Wan’s lashes trembled but she didn’t open her eyes. She lazily replied, “Not yet.”
Li Shen moved closer to her, “Can I hold you to sleep?”
“En….”
Li Shen circled her from behind and repeated, “Wanwan.”
“Hm?”
“I haven’t wished you a happy birthday.”
Yu Wan’s lips curved up, “It’s already past midnight.”
Li Shen closed his eyes and felt the temperature of the person in his arms, “Then I’ll save it for next year.”
Next year? Yu Wan’s lashed moved again. This time, she slowly opened her eyes. Li Shen’s even breath fell to her ears. She leaned against his chest, quietly looked at the dark room for a while, and closed her eyes again.
Yu Wan still has worked the next day and woke up early in the morning. Li Shen was awoken by her movements. He opened his eyes in a daze and saw Yu Wan changing in front of the closet, “You’re up early.”
“En, I need to go home and change. I’m afraid I might be late for work.”
When she mentioned changing, Li Shen remembered the clothes he had torn yesterday. He didn’t realize it when he did it but later when he was cleaning up, he realized he had torn her clothes.
“I’ll take you.” He got out of bed and started changing, “I also need to go back anyway.”

Li Shen;’s car was parked at the same spot as last night. When the two went downstairs, the breakfast shop downstairs had already started selling breakfast. Yu Wan glanced at the heavily armed Li Shen and ran over to buy two servings.
After getting in the car, Li Shen finally took off his sunglasses and mask but still kept his hat on. Yu Wan sat next to him eating breakfast and checked the phone for news.
Halfway down the road, Xiaodong called and asked him where he was. Li Shen vaguely replied, “I will go to the company by myself today, you don't need to pick me up."
Yu Wan glanced at Li Shen. He said a few more words before hanging up. After putting down the phone, he looked at Yu Wan, as if he had something to say to her.
“What?” Yu Wan asked.
Li Shen lightly pursed his lips, "I am not going to tell the company about the two of us for the time being. My agent is against me dating now."
Yu Wan was not surprised. She had considered this issue when she decided to get back together with him. She nodded, “Ok, I also won’t tell anyone.”
Li Shen didn’t feel better when she readily agreed. Instead, he felt that he wronged her even more. He gently held her hand on her knee, “When I get a few more big awards and have a stronger standing, we can make it public."
Yu Wan smiled, “It’s okay. Isn’t it more dangerous to make it public?”

The car stopped in front of Yu Wan’s building. She unfastened her seat belt and reached for the car door, “I’ll head up first.”
When the car door opened, Li Shen called to stop her, "Wanwan."
“Huh?” As soon as she turned around, she saw Li Shen unfasten his seatbelt and leaned forward to plant a kiss on her lips.
Yu Wan was caught off guard and didn’t know what to do. Li Shen smiled at her, “See you tonight.”
“En….” Yu Wan answered vaguely and quickly got out of the car and ran into her building. Li Shen drove the bar back to his garage and got off.
After Yu Wan arrived home, her heart was still beating fast. Li Shen now is more attractive than he was before. Just a casual smirk from him was unbearable.
She put down her bag and walked to the closet to change. After all her clothes are taken off, all the marks on her body could be seen in the mirror, causing her to blush. To hide these from others, she took a long-sleeved shirt and trousers from the closet.
It is late May and the weather is hot. Many people have started to wear short sleeve clothing and shorts but she just wishes she could wear an additional scarf.
The marks on her neck could not be easily covered with clothes so she had to cover it up with some foundation and concealer.
After looking at the mirror for a long time and confirming that it is hidden, she picked up her bag and left the house.
She already brought back the car she sent away for repairs a while ago. However, because she still has some lingering fears from the last accident, she hadn’t driven the past few days. Today, she resolutely walked to the parking garage and drove her car out.
She was still sore from the intense exercise last night. She didn’t want to drag her body and squeeze into the subway with others.
Today is still a busy day. Li Rui already showed the plan she created yesterday to his mother. After the quarrel with Tan Ping, Li Rui’s mother also calmed down.
